You're not the only one in this situation.

I cancelled my account in July when I left the UK. The then proceeded to take the monthly payments for another two months - even after sending the disconnection letter.

So trying to phone from outside the UK is almost impossible. I got the head office number and attempted to explain and got the following response.

we are BRITISH Sky Broadcasting and therefore only serve ENGLAND and then decided to continue to berate me for trying to sort out my situation. I didn't have the heart to say that Britain is Scotland, Wales, Norther Ireland and England, let alone the fact they serve the Republic of Ireland as well.

Ended up instructing my bank to reclaim the money after Sky eventually said they couldn't find my payments in their system.

Now I get Reconnection letters, sorry I'm leaving letters and Bills and then notifications of cancellations.

So far I've mentioned legal proceedings against their 'extortion' about 4 times. perhaps I should have used your name :)
